Summary	The protein encoded by this gene acts as a homodimer and is involved in many redox reactions. The encoded protein is active in the reversible S-nitrosylation of cysteines in certain proteins, which is part of the response to intracellular nitric oxide. This protein is found in the cytoplasm. Protein Families	Protocol: Activity Assay 1. Prepare a 1 ml reaction cocktail into a suitable container: The final concentrations are 5mM Tris, 63mM sodium phosphate, 1mM DTT, 0.1% (w/v) insulin, 2mM EDTA. 2.
