Background	α-Neoendorphin is an endogenous opioid neuropeptide with a decapeptide structure. It is derived from the proteolytic cleavage of prodynorphin. Some studies revealed that α- Neoendorphin immunoreactive fibers throughout the human brainstem and it can be found in the caudal part of the solitary nucleus, in the caudal and the gelatinosa parts of the spinal trigeminal nucleus, and in the central grey matter of medulla. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with α-Neoendorphin coupled to a carrier protein.
