| Background | Motilin is a 22-amino acid polypeptide hormone secreted by endocrine Mo cells in the small intestine, especially duodenum and jejunum. It is known for its ability to stimulate gastric activity; in fact, Motilin is released into the general circulation in humans during the inter-digestive state and is the most important factor in controlling the inter-digestive migrating contractions. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Motilin coupled to a carrier protein. |
