Background	The mouse anti-rat IFN-? monoclonal antibody (clone DB-14) is of the IgG2a substype. The DB-14 antibody has shown neutralizing activity and shows not to bind with rodent IFN-a1 and -β or to mouse or human IFN-?. In Western blot analysis the DB-14 antibody reacts with the 14 kDa and 18 kDa polypeptides present in rat IFN-? (van der Meide P.H. et al. 1989). Further, the DB-14 antibody is effective in ELISA systems and is applicable in immunohistochemistry (Ljungdahl A. et al. 1989).
