Specificity	This antibody Clone MIL13 recognizes an epitope contained in the portion of Porcine CD45 encoded by exon A, CD45RA (Lunney et al. 2007). MIL13 recognizes both the 210kDa RA CD45 isoform and the 226kDa RAC isoform (Zuckermann et al. 2001). MIl13 does not recognize The CD45RC or CD45RO isoforms.

Background	CD45RA is a 220kD isoform of the leucocyte common antigen CD45, which is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family. CD45RA is expressed by a subset of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and most monocytes. CD45RA plays an important role in the regulation of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signalling.
