Specifications
| Product Data | |
| Applications | ELISA, IP, WB |
| Recommend Dilution | Western blot: 1/500-1/1000. ELISA: 1/1000-1/2500; This product has been assayed against 1.0 µg of uricase [Bacillus species] in a standard sandwich ELISA using peroxidase conjugated affinity purified anti-goat IgG [H&L] (Goat) and ABTS as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. Immunoprecipitation: 1/100. Conjugation and most immunological methods require high titer and specificity. |
| Reactivity | Bacillus sp. |
| Host | Goat |
| Clonality | Polyclonal |
| Immunogen | Uricase from bacillus species |
| Specificity | This product detects uricase (Bacillus species). Cross reactivity against uricase from other sources is unknown. Immunoelectrophoresis gives a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum as well as purified and partially purified uricase [Bacillus species]. |
| Formulation | 0.02 M Potassium phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium chloride, pH 7.2 State: Purified State: Lyophilized purified Ig fraction Preservative: 0.01% (w/v) Sodium azide |
| Reconstitution Method | Restore with 0.1 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). |
| Concentration | lot specific |
| Purification | Multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer |
| Conjugation | Unconjugated |
| Storage Condition | Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term. After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |

| Background | Uricase is the peroxisomal enzyme responsible for the degradation of urate into allantoin. Uricase is a protein of 300 to 400 amino acids, its sequence is well conserved. It is mainly localised in the liver. In legumes, 2 forms of uricase are found: in the roots, the tetrameric form; and, in the uninfected cells of root nodules, a monomeric form, which plays an important role in nitrogen-fixation. |
| Synonyms | URIC, URO, UOX, EC 1.7.3.3, Urate oxidase |
