Specificity	This anti Borrelia burgdorferi antibody recognizes one of the causative agents of Lyme disease. B. burgdorferi is a spirochaete bacterium and one of the few pathogenic bacteria capable of surviving in the absence of iron. This antibody cross reacts with Treponema pallidum, Borrelia hermsii and Borrelia parkeri.
