Purification Method: Chickens were immunized with a synthetic peptide containing the influenza hemagglutinin (HA) epitope (i.e., YPYDVPDYA) conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH). After repeated injections, immune eggs were collected, the IgY fractions were purified from the yolks, and then affinity purified using a peptide column. The concentration of the eluate was then adjusted to 100 µg/mL, and the preparation was filter-sterilized.
