Background	Prp19p was described to be a lipid droplet-associated protein (cf. Cho et al., ref. 1). However, it does not belong to the PAT familily of lipid droplet-associated proteins and preferentially is a member of the spliceosomal complex. In addition Prp19p protein was also found in the nuclei cultured cells.
